EA-SKI the O.G. Gangster Producer/Rapper showing off his hand skills

Anybody really with the streets knows EA-Ski. The platinum producer has made many dope tracks with Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and every rapper that ever mattered from The Bay. What many did not know (but I knew) was that EA has been an accomplished martial artist for a LONG time. But it was his private path so only a few were given access to that reality. Finally he shows us some of his skills. The rhymes are not for the soft of heart...but the beats bang hard so, I'll leave you with an instrumental for now...Much, MUCH more is to come...

Feeling amazing and inspired when this plays

San Jose State University Hosts an AMAZING CSI Summer Camp!!

This may not  seem related to HHCF, but look, we LOVE innovative ways to educate kids. This is amazing. We hope you sign up. I met Director Steven Lee while speaking st SJ State a few weeks ago. I wish they had stuff like this when I was a kid.

Forensic Science and Crime Scene Investigation Camps
San Jose State University

Brief description: Experience crime scene investigation and forensic science with actual experts in the field as you learn the secrets of how CSIs uncover hidden evidence, careful observation and collection of evidence, detection and interpretation of fingerprints, blood stain patterns, DNA, report writing, and ethics and court testimony in this one week, hands-on intensive camp at San Jose State University.

Campers: This camp is targeted for those interested in the application of science to criminal investigation that will be most appropriate for advanced middle to high school students 13-17 years old.  Campers outside this age range should contact the director at steven.lee@sjsu.edu

Dates:    Session 1: July 09-13, 2012*
                Session 2: To be determined

Hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with extended hours available for additional fees

Camp Instructors: Professors, staff and students from the FS program at SJSU and practicing CSIs and forensic scientists from California will all provide their expertise to the camp.  Our faculty and staff include former crime scene investigators and forensic scientists which will be on hand to work with the campers.

Camp Director: Steven B. Lee has close to 20 years of experience in Forensic Science, holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of California, Berkeley (Berkeley, CA), and is currently Professor of Justice Studies and Director of the Forensic Science Programs at San Jose State University.   Dr. Lee was formerly the director of R&D at the California Department of Justice’s DNA Laboratory is a full member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the California Association of Criminalists, and a fellow in the Criminalistics Division of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. He also serves as a certified inspector for the Laboratory Accreditation Board of the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors, on the Department of Defense Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory Quality Assurance Board as a technical reviewer for NIJ research grants and reports and has served on the FBI Technical Working Group on DNA Analysis Methods.

American Academy of Forensic Science Sponsored: The camp is sponsored by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (www.aafs.org

).  The first week (*session 1- July 09-13th)  will be held strategically during the same week of the AAFS Forensic Science Educators Conference so students will have the opportunity to meet and work with working crime scene investigators and forensic scientists (in addition to our experienced staff members) during parts of the CSI camp.

.

Place: Forensic Science Program, Justice Studies Department, College of Applied Sciences and Arts, One Washington Square, San Jose State University, San Jose, CA 95192- Rooms on Campus to be determined

Registration:  These camps are limited to a total of 20 per session and it is expected they will fill quickly. Registration fees for the camp will be co-sponsored by AAFS and SJSU so that partial scholarships to attend the camp are available which will significantly lower the cost to attend.  The total cost of registration will depend on the total number of campers signed up for each session as well as any options selected for additional hours.  To reserve a place in Session 1, contact the director by email at steven.lee@sjsu.edu and visit www.sjsu.edu/justicestudies
